Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Alawi, ruler of Oman, has returned to his capital, Salalah, after a four-day official visit to Botswana and Angola. The trip, which included meetings with local leaders and officials, aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and explore areas of cooperation.
During the visit to Botswana, Sultan Haitham engaged in discussions on regional stability, economic development, and cultural exchanges. The Sultan also expressed interest in enhancing trade ties between Oman and Botswana. In Angola, he met with government officials to discuss investment opportunities and regional security initiatives.
The visit marks the Sultan’s continued efforts to expand Oman’s diplomatic presence across Africa. His return to Salalah was welcomed by local authorities, who highlighted the significance of the trip in reinforcing Oman’s role in regional diplomacy. The Sultan is expected to hold further meetings with Omani officials to review the outcomes of the visits.
